Workshop #1 - a research of materials

We had our first workshop at the school. We were divided into groups and each group got there own material to study. After doing the research of the material in a small scale, we had two days to build the final model in "real scale". The materials were concrete, glas, composits, metal and wood.

Finished!

Vincent Moon update!

So after putting two and two together I found out that Vincent moon is one of the guys behind La Blogotheque. A site I've stumpled upon a great deal of times. The clip with Arcade Fire in the buttom of the blog is from the very same blog. So now you know if you didn't allready :)

Vincent Moons - temporary copenhagen

This is one of the most fantastic and enthusiastic videos I have ever seen. I've been reading about this collaboration on the internet for a while now and all of a sudden there it was! It's directed by Vincent Moon, a french fellow who have also made a movie about Arcade Fire. Apparently he likes danish music as well. It's a one take video of 9 different groups all cramped into a small appartment in copenhagen.

And I had to put this up as well: Temporary Slaraffenland by Vincent Moon.

Chensio - moleskine 1

In comparison with this, my sketchbook uploads seem a little week. Nevertheless, take a few minutes to look at these fantastic yet a little dark drawings.

Lanserhofwiese

Look at this!!! Maybe it's because of my recent assignement about De Stijl that made me curious about this building or maybe i just think it's pretty. It doesn't really matter anyhow.. I think it's pretty now. Look at it!!!

Progress of "A Good Cup"

So.. For a while now I've been wanting to post this, but never came around to it. I wanted to share some of my sketches for this drawing I made for my sisters birthday a few months back.

Drawing #1.
Bear analysis.

11 rabbits! (sold)
Them tricky mountains.

Tree analysis..

And there you have it.. first part of the drawing. The star wars spaceship, the boy in the boat and the steamy cup was something I added from previous drawings, and the rest was freestyling. It took me just under four weeks to complete. But I'm really excited about the result.

Sketchbook upload...

Hopefully I will be posting some new work on the site before too much time will pass. I've been experimenting with some new stuff and techniques and feel a new wave of "I need to draw" energy. untill then...

a good cup

pen on paper 55 x 40 cm

This was a gift I made for my sisters birthday. I didn't know exactly what I wanted to make, but I had a few ideas in my head. The overall thing was to make it sweet, but not to sweet.

So, happy birthdsy sis! :)

I love details part3

pen on paper (21 x 29cm) You can't really plan a drawing like this. You just draw one thing and that leads to another, then you put the drawing away for a while, then you find it again and ad more details untill there's no more paper to draw on.

I love details part2

pen on paper (21 x 29cm) Probably the most abstract thing I've made.. a sketcbook thing but with I love details value.

I love details part1.

Rendition - a little political action!

blue pen and watercolour on paper (21 x 29 cm)

I didn't know if i should post this or not, but ended up doing so. A year ago my friend wrote an assignment about renditions. Illegal movement and interrogation of prisoners. This action is a serious offend to human rights and the interrogation methods used are not far from torture.

I made this drawing after talking with my friend about her assignment. The subject made a pretty big impression on me and this just came out in creative frustration i think. Its one of the only watercolours I've made and I like the look of it. Fortunately my friend didn't have a front page image, so she used this. A week later I came to realize that the table in the picture is missing a leg. Strange how a thing like that slips your mind.

97 Fish!

Pen on paper - 21 x 29 cmThis was something I started with the intention of drawing a chinese/old ninja looking fish. But the patterns took over and i ended up with 96 more fish.

Not long after it was my dad's birthday, so my friend and I sew a couple of pillows and hand printed (silkscreen) some of the fishes from the drawing in a flowery pattern on to the pillows. I think the result came out pretty cool.

Here it is!

Finally! I've captured a small selection of my drawings to put up on the site. And changed the logo a little bit, so now it actually looks kinda cool. Hope you'll have a good time. This is a photo of my homemade light table in my bedroom. A desktop lamp and a piece of plasticglass are really the main essentials.

Er du sindssyg hvor er det godt!!! St. Vincent.
